Meet Jeff
Born and raised on an Iowa farm, the oldest of six children, Jeff graduated from Iowa State University in 1973 with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. He worked 15 years with Trane Company and an additional 15 years with York International in various engineering, procurement, production, and general management positions. Meanwhile, he made his way south with his wife, Patricia, to Tennessee and Virginia, eventually ending up in North Carolina where he has now lived for over 20 years.
He co-founded Jemsite in 2000 with Eddie and Mark and they have since developed 50 Lowe’s Home Improvement Centers, various shopping center and single-tenant projects, and have become a multi-national grocer’s preferred developer.
In his free time, Jeff loves spending time with his wife, four children, five grandchildren, and out on the links as an “avidly-fair” golfer.

Meet Eddie
After his graduation from East Carolina University with a major in Business Administration in 1971, Eddie joined his family’s business, Vannoy Construction, and became its president in 1976. Now as CEO since 1985, he manages the general direction of the company and seeks out new opportunities for both Vannoy Construction and Jemsite Development in order to provide a holistic solution for clients of all shapes and sizes.
Outside of the office, Eddie is involved in the development of Jefferson Landing Golf Club & Resort, collects a few cars, actively serves his community, and promotes local charities, specifically, the Jeremy Elliott Scholarship Fund, which to date, has raised over one million dollars for local high school seniors.

Meet Mark
Mark first began with Vannoy Construction as a project superintendent in 1973 after graduating from East Carolina University. Three years later, he became Vice President, overseeing daily operations. Since 1985, Mark has been the President of Vannoy Construction and is instrumental in the direction and growth of its four offices. His construction expertise has been integral to the success of Jemsite Development.
Beyond his impact at Jemsite and Vannoy, Mark is a board member of Appalachian Regional Healthcare System in Boone, NC and a founding board member of Forest Commercial Bank in Asheville, NC. He also enjoys his role as a developer and owner of Jefferson Landing Golf Club & Resort in Jefferson, NC and is the owner/operator of Vannoy Family Farms in Galax, VA.
